“The loneliness of the expatriate is of an odd and complicated kind, for it is inseparable from the feeling of being free, of having escaped.”
- Adam Gopnik (Paris to the Moon)
Confidential Online Therapy for Individuals
I work online with clients around the world, in particular the Middle East and California. Many of my clients are expats and many are locals living in areas where psychotherapy is either underdeveloped or unavailable. Some are busy professionals in California and elsewhere who prefer to do video-based therapy from home or hotel. One of my specialities is working with women who are navigating the sexual, spiritual and social challenges of menopause. I help people who are feeling lonely, uncertain, depressed, anxious and/or confused find their way to a more comfortable and satisfying life.
Thanks to modern technology, location is no longer an impediment to effective, depth-oriented psychotherapy. I am experienced at developing a strong therapeutic bond with clients, wherein consistency and trust create opportunities for personal investigation, growth and transformation.
Unresolved issues around home, family, identity and belonging, relationships, and trauma often lead to depression, anxiety, and a general dissatisfaction with one’s personal or professional life. If you identify with any of these feelings or challenges, I may be able to help.
I also provide video-based consultation to new and established therapists seeking to deepen their capacity for attunement and enhance their understanding and use of the therapeutic relationship. I help therapists gain clarity on what’s happening in the therapist, in the client, and in the relationship. I work from a depth-oriented, relational, psychodynamic, neurobiologically informed perspective.
My fees are based on a sliding scale, and my practice is designed to be affordable and accessible to all who need it. Please contact me to see if my services are right for you.
